Review: Pai Sucen

Hari Selasa lalu, aku dapat kiriman paket dari Yogyakarta. Isinya Pai Sucen. Semacam pai susu, mirip seperti yang ada di Bali, tapi buatan Yogyakarta. Memang, beberapa hari sebelumnya, Berta mengirimiku pesan teks, menawarkanku untuk mencoba pai susu yang katanya lagi happening di Yogyakarta tersebut.

Last Tuesday, I got a package sent from Yogyakarta. It was a box of Pai Susu. A sort of milk pie, just like the one that famous in Bali, but made in Yogyakarta. A couple of days before, Berta texted me, offering me to try this milky pie that is happening now in Yogyakarta.

Aku tidak menghitung, ada berapa buah pai susu dalam satu toples plastik bening tersebut. Yang aku tahu, aku terus saja melahap pai susu tersebut. Wangi susu dan margarin, dengan kulit pai yang cukup garing namun lembut. Menurutku, bagi kebanyakan orang, manisnya cukup. Tidak heran, pai susu ini bisa menjadi alternatif jajanan di Yogyakarta. Karena Berta berbaik hati menghadiahkannya untukku, jadi aku tak tahu berapa harganya. Mungkin kapan-kapan aku akan membelinya sendiri. Toh Bebi Vendra, si little food-critics-ku juga suka.

I did not count, how many milk pies there were in the plastic box. All I know, I cannot stop enjoying them. Milk and margarine aroma, with beautifully tender crust. No wonder, this milk pie has becoming another choice in Yogyakarta. Since Berta generously gifted it to me, I do not know how much the price is. Maybe I will order it by myself in the future. Beside, Bebi Vendra, my little food-critics likes it as well.
