Tape Katsu — Fried Indonesian Fermented Cassava

Saat kelaparan di sore hari, teman minum teh yang satu ini sangat mudah dan cepat dibuat.

When I feel a bit starving in the late afternoon, I prepare this snack. Great to be enjoyed with tea. Easy and quick one.

Bahan-bahannya:
2 potong tape singkong, belah 4 lalu pipihkan
1 sendok makan tepung terigu, campurkan dengan 4 sendok makan air
4 sendok makan tepung roti
100 mililiter minyak goreng

Cara membuatnya:
1. Gulingkan tape singkong di tepung terigu, kemudian gulingkan di tepung roti hingga tertutup rata.
2. Panaskan minyak goreng dengan api sedang.
3. Goreng tape katsu hingga kecoklatan. Angkat. Tiriskan. Sajikan.

The ingredients:
2 pieces fermented cassava, each divided into 4 pieces
1 table spoon wheat flour, mixed with 4 table spoons water
4 table spoons bread crumbs
100 milliliters oil

The directions:
1. Roll over fermented cassava on wheat flour, then roll it over bread crumbs until completely covered.
2. Medium-high heat oil.
3. Deep fry fermented cassava katsu until golden brown. Remove. Strain. Serve.

Menurutku, tape katsu ini cocok dinikmati bersama teh hijau ataupun teh oolong.

I think this fermented cassava katsu would be great to be enjoyed with green tea or oolong tea.
