I love the aroma, when I opened the pack of this tea. A little bit like amaretto. The infusion just like ordinary black tea, but when I added some steamed milk, it tastes like latte, with a hint of nutty flavor. I think, I should try it iced, topped with some whipped cream.

Review: Dharma Teas Yunnan

Dharma Teas’ Yunnan is a Pu-Erh tea. Pu-Erhs are generally heavier, more full bodied than other black teas. Despite its hearty flavor, this is a very smooth tea that is quite forgiving to brew. This tea goes well with meal and has a sweet, earthy flavor.

This tea energizes my morning up. Full bodied yet smooth.

Review: Cussons First Years Newborn Pure Body Moisturiser

Kuakui, punya kulit sensitif sangat menyebalkan. Bahkan produk bayi dengan pewangi yang kuat akan membuat kulitku merah dan gatal.

It’s very annoying to own such a super-sensitive skin. Even fragranced baby products would make it red and itchy.

Sejak dua tahun lalu, aku memakai Cussons First Years Newborn Pure Moisturiser. Pelembab kulit berbentuk gel bening tanpa parfum yang kuat, yang didesain untuk kulit bayi baru lahir. Tetap saja, komposisi produk ini terlalu kompleks dan tidak masuk kategori alami. Tapi, untuk kulitku yang gampang jerawatan, okelah. Memang, terlalu ringan dan tidak terlalu terasa melembabkan. Yang jelas, wajahku jadi lebih jarang jerawatan, 2 tahun belakangan ini.

I’ve been using Cussons First Years Newborn Pure Moisturiser for more than two years. This moisturiser gel for newborn skin is still coming up with complicated ingredients, and I cannot categorize it as natural product. At least, my delicate face got less acne, lately.

Review: Dharma Teas Assam

Assam teas are generally hearty and more full bodied. This heartiness makes them a great choice for breakfast tea. Dharma Teas’ Assam can be mixed with milk and rock sugar for a change. The flavor is malty-fruity.

Personally, I love to enjoy them with a pinch of palm sugar. An exotic sensation that would brighten my day up.

Review: Moy Moy

Gerai bubur ala Taiwan ini terletak di Subha Food Court, Galeria Mall, Yogyakarta. Ternyata, bubur ala Taiwan nggak jauh berbeda dengan Indonesia.

This Taiwanese style porridge outlet is located at Subha Food Court, Galeria Mall, Yogyakarta. I found that Taiwanese style porridge is similar to Indonesian.

Bubur Telur Naga
Berisi bubur dari tepung beras, disiram gula merah cair. Persis bubur sumsum. Ditambah 3 butir bola-bola dari tepung beras ketan, berisi kacang tumbuk, gula dan sedikit jahe. Mirip bola-bola pada wedang ronde. Perpaduan rasa gurih bubur tepung beras, dengan rasa manis siraman gula merah cairnya pas. Menu ini dijual dengan harga 4.000 rupiah.

Dragon’s Eggs Porridge
A sort of salty porridge, made of white rice flour, with liquid palm sugar poured over it. And 3 glutinuous rice balls with crushed peanut, sugar and a bit ginger on each center of the ball. I love the way they mix the salty taste of white rice flour porridge with the sweet taste of palm sugar.

Bubur Permata Naga
Bubur manis yang berisi potongan ubi oranye, potongan ubi putih, serutan kelapa, dan potongan buah nangka, yang disiram dengan santan. Bebi Vendra pun suka. Rasanya tidak terlalu manis. Menu ini dijual dengan harga 3.000 rupiah.

Dragon’s Diamond Porridge
A sort of sweet porridge, consisting of orange sweet potato cuts, white sweet potato cuts, coconut shreds, and some jackfruit cuts, poured with coconut milk. Bebi Vendra likes it. Tastes not too sweet.

Matcho: Matcha and Dark Chocolate Truffles

Aku suka teh, juga suka coklat. Terpikir untuk menjual tea chocolate truffles-truffles coklat dengan aroma teh-di Tealovero Shop. Tapi yang ini kubuat untuk diriku sendiri.

I love tea, either chocolate. I was thinking to sell some tea chocolate truffles at Tealovero Shop. But I made this matcha and dark chocolate truffles for myself.

Bahan-bahannya:
200gr coklat pekat
60ml krim kental
2 sendok teh matcha, larutkan dalam 3 sendok makan air panas
bubuk coklat

Cara membuatnya:
1. Potong-potong coklat pekat.
2. Masak krim kental dan matcha dengan api kecil hingga hampir mendidih. Angkat.
3. Tuangkan ke potongan coklat pekat. Aduk hingga coklat lumer merata.
4. Biarkan dingin, lalu simpan di lemari es selama sekurangnya 30 menit.
5. Bentuk menjadi bola-bola, gulingkan di atas coklat bubuk.
6. Simpan lagi selama sekurangnya 30 menit dalam lemari es. Sajikan.

The ingredients:
200 gr dark chocolate compound
60 ml cream
2 tea spoons matcha, dissolved in 3 table spoons hot water
cocoa powder

The directions:
1. Finely chop dark chocolate compound.
2. Shimmer matcha and cream until they almost boiling. Remove.
3. Pour over dark chocolate and stir until it compeletely melted.
4. Store in chiller for at least 30 minutes.
5. Make balls and roll them over cocoa powder.
6. Store them in chiller for another 30 minutes. Serve.
