One Veggie Lunch

Aku menjalani puasa Paskah lagi, setelah tahun kemarin tidak menjalaninya karena sedang hamil. Aku tidak makan daging, namun masih mengkonsumsi telur dan susu serta produk olahannya, selama 7 minggu sebelum hari raya Paskah.

Di hari keempat, aku menikmati makan siang yang hebat. Lihat apa yang kubuat!

I used to fasting, 7 weeks towards Easter. As simple as not eating meat, but still consuming egg and dairy products. After my absence last year, due to pregnancy, I’m doing it again now.

On the fourth day, I enjoyed one fabulous lunch. See what I cooked!

Naget Tahu

Bahan-bahannya:
4 buah tahu putih, hancurkan
segenggam jamur merang, iris tipis
2 siung bawang putih, haluskan
4 butir bawang merah, haluskan
1 batang daun bawang, iris tipis
1 batang daun seledri, iris halus
setengah sendok teh garam
setengah sendok teh lada putih bubuk
1 sendok makan margarin
1 butir telur, kocok
200 mililiter minyak goreng
1 sendok makan tepung maizena, larutkan dengan 2 sendok makan air segenggam tepung roti

Cara membuatnya:
1. Campurkan tahu, jamur, bawang putih, bawang merah, bawang daun, seledri, garam, lada putih bubuk dan telur ayam. 2. Olesi loyang dengan margarin.
3. Letakkan campuran tahu di loyang.
4. Kukus selama 25-30 menit. Angkat. Biarkan dingin.
5. Potong naget tahu berbentuk segi empat.
6. Celupkan potongan naget tahu ke larutan maizena.
7. Gulingkan di tepung roti hingga seluruh permukaannya terbalut rata.
8. Simpan di chiller selama sekurangnya 1 jam. Jika belum akan dikonsumsi, bisa juga langsung disimpan di freezer.
9. Goreng dalam minyak panas dengan api agak besar hingga kecoklatan. Angkat. Tiriskan. Sajikan.

Tofu Nugget

The ingredients:
4 tofu, mashed
a handful straw mushroom, sliced
2 garlic, crushed
4 shallot, crushed
1 spring onion, chopped
1 celery, chopped
a half tea spoon salt
a half tea spoon white pepper powder
1 table spoon margarin
1 egg, beaten
200 milliliter oil
1 table spoon cornstarch, dissolved in 2 table spoons water
a handful bread crumbs

The directions:
1. Mix well tofu, mushroom, garlic, shallot, spring onion, celery, salt, white pepper powder, and egg. 2. Spread the surface of an aluminium cake mould with margarine. 3. Place the tofu mix.
4. Steam for about 25-30 minutes. Remove. Let cool.
5. Cut tofu nugget into squares.
6. Dip each square into liquid cornstarch.
7. Roll over bread crumbs, so it would be completely covered.
8. Store in chiller for at least an hour. If you are not going to enjoy it shortly, store it in freezer right away.
9. Deep fry in hot oil, using medium-high heat until turning golden brown. Remove. Strain. Serve.

Sayur Bening Bayam Labu Parang

Bahan-bahannya:
segenggam daun bayam
200 gram labu parang, potong dadu
1 buah jagung, potong
4 butir bawang merah, iris
2 gelas air
setengah sendok teh garam
setengah sendok teh gula pasir

Cara membuatnya:
1. Didihkan air.
2. Tambahkan bawang merah, jagung dan labu parang. Tunggu labu lunak. 3. Tambahkan daun bayam, garam dan gula pasir. Aduk rata. Angkat. Sajikan.

Spinach & Pumpkin Clear Soup

The ingredients:
a handful bayam (Indonesian spinach) leaf
200 grams pumpkin, diced
1 corn, sliced
4 shallot, chopped
2 cups water
a half tea spoon salt
a half tea spoon sugar cane

The directions:
1. Boil water.
2. Add shallot, corn and pumpkin. Wait until pumpkin getting tender. 3. Add spinach leaf, salt and sugar cane. Stir well. Remove. Serve.
