Another Spring Roll Party

Kudapan yang digoreng memang disuka banyak orang. Di rumah, kami bisa menghabiskan lebih dari 1 liter minyak goreng dalam sebulan. Padahal cuma aku dan suamiku tercinta. Bagi kami, lebih baik makan masakan yang tanpa garam, daripada makan masakan yang tidak digoreng. Yah, setiap keluarga punya kebiasaan sendiri-sendiri kan?

Fried snack is everybody’s favourite, I think. At home, we both could consume more than a liter cooking oil. It’s better to enjoy dishes without salt, than enjoying unfried dishes for us. Each family has a unique habit, right?

Bahan-bahan Lumpia Apel Kismis:
1 buah apel fuji ukuran kecil, kupas, potong dadu
segenggam kismis
20 mililiter air
6 lembar kulit lumpia siap pakai
100 mililiter minyak goreng

Cara membuatnya:
1. Masak apel dan kismis dalam air hingga empuk dan air habis. Angkat.
2. Ambil 1 sendok makan campuran apel kismis, letakan di selembar kulit lumpia. Lipat. 3. Panaskan minyak goreng dengan api agak besar.
4. Goreng lumpia hingga coklat keemasan. Angkat. Tiriskan. Sajikan.

The ingredients of Apple Raisin Spring Roll:
a small sized fuji raisin, peeled, diced a handful raisin
20 milliliters water
6 pieces ready-to-use spring roll skin
100 milliliters oil

The directions:
1. Simmer apple and raisin in water until tender and the water completely reduced. Remove.
2. Take a table spoon of apple and raisin, then put it on a piece of spring roll skin. Fold. 3. Medium-high heat oil.
4. Deep fry spring rolls until turn golden brown. Remove. Strain. Serve.

Bahan-bahan Lumpia Tahu Jamur:
2 buah tahu putih, potong dadu
segenggamg jamur kancing, iris
1 butir bawang putih, cincang
1 sendok makan margarin
1 sendok makan saus tiram
setengah sendok teh lada putih bubuk
6 lembar kulit lumpia siap pakai
100 mililiter minyak goreng

Cara membuatnya:
1. Panaskan margarin dengan api sedang.
2. Tumis bawang putih hingga harum.
3. Tambahkan tahu dan jamur.
4. Tambahkan saus tiram dan lada putih bubuk. Aduk rata. Angkat.
5. Ambil 1 sendok makan tahu jamur tumis, letakkan di bagian tengah kulit lumpia. Lipat. 6. Panaskan minyak goreng dengan api agak besar.
7. Goreng lumpia hingga coklat keemasan. Angkat. Tiriskan. Sajikan dengan saus asam pedas.

The ingredients of Tofu & Mushroom Spring Roll:
2 white tofu, diced
a handful champignon, sliced
1 garlic, chopped 1 table spoon margarine
1 table spoon oyster sauce
a half tea spoon white pepper powder
6 pieces ready-to-use spring roll skin
100 milliliters oil

The directions:
1. Medium-low heat margarine.
2. Sauté garlic until the aroma comes out.
3. Add tofu and mushroom.
4. Add oyster sauce and white pepper powder. Stir well. Remove.
5. Add a table spoon tofu & mushroom sauté, place on the center of spring roll skin. Fold. 6. Medium-high heat oil.
7. Deep fry spring roll until golden brown. Remove. Strain. Serve with hot & tangy sauce.
