The Morning of A Happy Mom & Pork Tuturuga

Selamat pagi!

Good morning! Nowadays, I usually go to sleep earlier, around 8 or 9 PM. I breastfeed Bebi Vendra, while bringing him to sleep, but then I fall asleep either. Around 2 AM, usually he awakes because of hunger. I breastfeed him again, until he falls asleep again. I snack a little while online on the internet, then go back to sleep.

Welcome to My World!

Hari Sabtu yang lalu, aku mengganti gaya rambutku menjadi pendek. Sayang banget, memang. Tapi setelah melahirkan Bebi Vendra, rambutku rontok banget. Daripada mengganggu hidup anggota keluargaku yang lain, lebih baik aku hidup dengan rambut pendek. Sementara.

Last Saturday, I changed my hair style into a shorter one. It’s sad, of course, to cut my long hair out. But I suffer from post pregnancy hair-loss. It’s very annoying, to find a lot of hair anywhere. So, I decided to live with a shorter hair. Temporarily.

Setelah mandi, aku suka mengawali hari dengan me-time menikmati matahari terbit dari halaman rumah. Ditemani secangkir teh susu versiku sendiri.

After shower, I love to start the day with me-time, witnessing the sun rising from our home’s terrace. Accompanied by a cup of my own version of milk tea.

Cukup tambahkan susu kental manis pada seduhan teh assaam atau darjeeling.

Simply add condensed milk into brewed assaam or darjeeling.

Setelah itu, kumulai pekerjaanku sebagai dewi rumah tangga. Hari ini, aku memasak tuturuga babi. Tapi masakan khas Manado ini kusesuaikan dengan lidah Jawa.

Bahan-bahannya:
250 gram daging babi, potong dadu ukuran 2 sentimeter, rebus dalam 1 gelas air selama kurang lebih setengah jam
1 sendok makan minyak goreng
2 butir bawang putih, haluskan
4 butir bawang merah, haluskan
6 buah cabe merah, haluskan
2 sentimeter kunyit, bakar sebentar, buang kulitnya, haluskan
2 buah kemiri, haluskan
2 buah serai, memarkan
2 lembar daun jeruk purut, sobek-sobek
1 lembar daun salam
segenggam daun kemangi
50 mililiter santan kelapa
setengah sendok teh garam
setengah sendok teh lada putih bubuk
setengah sendok teh gula pasir

Cara membuatnya:
1. Panaskan minyak goreng dengan api sedang.
2. Tumis bawang putih, bawang merah, cabe merah, kunyit, kemiri, serai, daun jeruk purut, serta daun salam hingga harum.
3. Tambahkan daging babi beserta air kaldunya. Aduk rata.
4. Kecilkan api. Tambahkan daun kemangi. Biarkan santan menyusut. Angkat. Sajikan.

Now, it’s time to start my work as a domestic goddess. Today, I’m going to cook pork tuturuga, a Manadonese food, which actually I adjusted to Javanese taste.
