Cassava Stew

Kemarin, suamiku tersayang rikues minta dibikinin kolak. Tapi, beliau mau yang empuk dan gula jawanya meresap. Untuk hal seperti itu, aku memang ahlinya. Aku pecinta memasak dengan api kecil.

Rebus 100 gram gula jawa dengan 3 gelas air hingga mendidih dan larut seluruhnya. Saring.

Didihkan kembali air gula jawa, tambahkan sedikit garam dan bubuk kayu manis, serta 50 gram coklat pekat yang sudah dipotong-potong. Aduk hingga coklat larut. Kecilkan api.

Kupas dan potong-potong ukuran 4 centimeter, setengah kilogram singkong, lalu cuci bersih. Masukkan ke dalam air gula jawa. Masak selama 30-40 menit hingga singkong empuk.

Tambahkan 65 mililiter santan kental. Aduk rata. Angkat. Sajikan.

Yesterday, my beloved hubby requested me to cook kolak. But he wanted the one with tender and tasty cassava. It’s easy for me, since I used to cook with low heat.

Boil 100 grams palm sugar in 3 cups of water until completely dissolved. Strain.

Boil again, add a pinch of salt and cinnamon powder, also 50 grams dark chocolate compound cut. Stir until chocolate completely dissolved. Lower the heat.

Peel and cut into size about 4 centimeters, a half kilograms cassava, then wash. Add it to the pot. Cook for 30 to 40 minutes, until it turns tender.

Add 65 mililiters coconut milk. Stir well. Remove. Serve.
