Club Sandwich for Dummies

Club sandwich atau roti isi adalah salah satu menu yang jadi favorit di kafe maupun resto. Biasanya, tumpukan 3 roti dengan berbagai jenis isi tersebut disajikan dengan kentang goreng. Nikmat dan mengenyangkan.

Club sandwich versiku ini mudah dibuat sendiri di rumah dan bahannya sederhana. Cocok untuk sarapan kesiangan alias brunch, sambil bersantai menikmati segelas teh earl grey hangat tanpa gula.

Goreng segenggam kentang goreng beku selama 4 menit, atau sampai tingkat kematangan yang disukai. Tiriskan.

Buat telur mata sapi. Tiriskan.

Goreng dengan sedikit minyak selembar smoked beef hingga tingkat kematangan yang disukai. Tiriskan.

Panggang sebentar 2 lembar roti tawar putih hingga sedikit garing. Gunakan roti gandum, jika suka.

Campurkan 2 sendok makan mayones, 1 sendok makan saus tomat dan 1 sendok makan saus sambal. Aduk rata.

Olesi permukaan selembar roti dengan campuran saus tersebut, kemudian letakkan telur mata sapi di atasnya, olesi lagi dengan sedikit saus. Letakkan selembar keju cheddar di atasnya, beri lagi sedikit saus. Letakkan selembar daun selada yang sudah dicuci bersih di atasnya, disusul smoked beef. Tambahkan irisan tomat, bawang bombay dan mentimun. Tumpuk dengan selembar roti lagi yang permukaannya sudah diolesi saus.

Sajikan roti dengan kentang goreng. Gunakan sisa saus untuk cocolan kentang goreng.

Welcome to My World!

This is my own version of club sandwich. Uses simple ingredients that already stocked at home and easy to prepare. I often enjoy it for brunch with a cup of warm Earl Grey tea.

Fry a generous handful of frozen shoestring french fries for about 4 minutes or as you like. Strain.

Make 1 sunny egg. Strain.

Fry a piece of smoked beef with a little oil. Strain.

Toast 2 slices of white bread for a moment. Use whole wheat bread, if you like.

Mix 2 table spoons mayonnaise, 1 table spoon tomato ketchup and 1 table spoon chili sauce. Stir well.

Spread 1 of the bread slice with the sauce, then put the sunny egg upon it, spread the sauce again. Put 1 slice of cheddar cheese, spread the sauce again. Put 1 piece washed watercress, followed by smoked beef. Add slices of tomato, onion and cucumber, then top with the other slice of bread.

Serve sandwich with fried shoestring. Use the remaining of sauce to accompany the shoestring.
