Nasi Tahu Margarin

Bisa dibilang, ini nasi goreng versiku sendiri. Aku sering membuatnya waktu aku vegetarian dulu, sekitar 2001-2007.

Panaskan 1 sendok makan margarin hingga meleleh. Gunakan api kecil saja. Tumis bawang putih dan bawang bombay hingga harum. Masukkan tahu yang sudah dihancurkan tadi. Diamkan 1 menit, aduk-aduk, diamkan 1 menit lagi, agar matang merata.

This might be my own version of fried rice. Nasi, in bahasa Indonesia means rice. Tahu is tofu. While margarin is margarine.

I used to eat this when I was vegetarian, around 2001-2007. Very simple and easy. And, since I am not vegetarian anymore, also have realized the hidden danger in margarine, so I substitute it with butter.

Chop 1 piece of garlic and a half piece of onion. Crush 2 pieces of yellow tofu, using a fork.

Low heat 1 table spoon of margarin until it melts. Sauté the chopped garlic and onion until the aroma comes out. Add the crushed yellow tofu. Wait 1 minute, then stir. Wait 1 more minute, stir again so it would be cooked well. Add cooked white rice and a pinch of ground white pepper. Stir until it mixed well, then wait for 1 minute. Take out of the stove.

Serve with chopped spring onion and sprinkles of fried shallot. Would be more delicious yet nutritious if you enjoy it with fried tempe, watercress or stewed green chinese cabbage.
