Lodeh

Tampaknya, sayur lodeh adalah salah satu favorit suamiku. Ia cukup sering rikues dimasakin lodeh. Mungkin itu masakanku yang rasanya rada beres, hehehe. Padahal, sebelum tinggal bareng suamiku, aku nggak pernah membayangkan diriku memasak sayuran bersantan tersebut.

Potong-potong 1 buah terung, 4-5 buah kacang panjang, setengah buah labu siam, tempe, cabe hijau dan cabe merah.

Haluskan 2 siung bawang putih, 2 siung bawang merah, 1 sendok teh ketumbar. Panaskan minyak goreng. Tumis bumbu halus, 2 lembar daun salam dan 2 cm lengkuas yang sudah digeprek. Setelah wangi, tuangkan 100 ml santan kental dan 200 ml air. Setelah mendidih, masukkan sayuran yang sudah dipotong-potong tadi, buah melinjo, daun melinjo serta garam dan merica. Didihkan lagi lalu angkat. Sajikan dengan taburan bawang goreng. Bisa dinikmati bersama tempe goreng dan sambal kecap serta kerupuk udang.

I think, this exotic vegetable dish is one of my husband’s favourite. He often asks me to cook it.

Cut 1 piece of eggplant, 4 to 5 pieces of long bean, a half of chayote, tempe, green and red chili pepper.

Crush 2 pieces of garlic, 2 pieces of shallot, 1 tea spoon of coriander seed. Heat 1 table spoon of oil. Sauté the crushed spices with 2 pieces of bay leaves and 2 centimeters of fresh peeled galangal. After the aroma comes out, pour 100 millilitres of coconut milk and 200 millilitres of water. After it boils, put in the cut vegetables, melinjo, melinjo leaves and a pinch of salt and pepper. Let it boils again. Take out the pot from the stove. Serve with sprinkles of fried shallot. Great to be enjoyed with fried tempe and sambal kecap, also prawn krupuk.
