Kolak Biji Salak

Bulan Ramadhan, banyak pedagang dadakan yang menjual makanan dan minuman yang menarik. Salah satu yang kusuka adalah kolak biji salak. Tentunya, aku pun penasaran ingin membuatnya sendiri.

In the month of Ramadhan, there are a lot of temporary interesting food and beverage street stalls. One of my favourite is Kolak Biji Salak, a sort of sweet soup of sweet potato balls. Of course, I was challenged to make my own.

Bahan-bahannya:
1 buah ubi merah
3 sendok makan tepung tapioka
20 gram gula merah, sisir
500 mililiter air
30 mililiter santan siap pakai

Cara membuatnya:
1. Kupas dan potong dadu ubi merah, lalu kukus hingga lunak.
2. Haluskan ubi, campur dengan tepung tapioka.
3. Panaskan air.
4. Bentuk ubi seperti biji salak. Masukkan ke dalam air.
5. Setelah semua biji salak mengapung di air, tambahkan gula merah.
6. Aduk hingga gula larut.
7. Tunggu 10-15 menit. Angkat. Sajikan dengan santan.

The ingredients:
1 medium sized red sweet potato
3 table spoons tapioca starch
20 grams palm sugar
500 milliliters water
30 milliliters ready-to-use coconut milk

The directions:
1. Peel and dice sweet potato. Steam until tender.
2. Mash sweet potato, then mix well with tapioca starch.
3. Boil water.
4. Make sweet potato into balls, then put in the boiled water.
5. After all the sweet potato balls floating, add palm sugar.
6. Stir well until palm sugar completely dissolved.
7. Wait for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove. Serve with coconut milk.
